British Land Rocket...... The Bentley Continental Supersports

Bentley Continental Supersports

Don't let those dignified upright proportions fool you, you're looking at a screaming hairy beast in a 3-Piece Suit. Its called the Continental Supersports and that's it in the above picture, the fastest most outlandish car Bentley has ever made in terms of cars not SUVs.

First of all, its been lightened, meaning its rear seats has been removed and replaced with air, the chairs in front are now racing buckets, trimmed in a Naija military man's smoking uniforms, and there is carbon fibre on the dashboards rathr than the normal walnut woods on a Bentley GT and all that put together, the result is dramatic.

The 621-hp Continental Supersports weighs 5000 pounds, costs nearly $275,000, and hits 100km/h in a face-peeling 3.6 seconds, almost a half-second quicker than the next-fleetest Continental, the 600 Horsepower GT Speed. It sounds wonderfully flatulent and looks slightly scary. At any moment you expect it to unfold into a giant robot and start bench-pressing 747s.

The Supersports name sounds quintessentially British, what we expect from the chuffed ironmongers at Bentley. From bonnet to boot it’s heavy but down about 170 pounds from the GT Speed. The front seats are deep, stiff, manually adjusted carbon-fiber cocoons lined with leather and diamond-quilted Alcantara. They wear well for a few hours, before back fatigue begins to set in.
Like I said earlier, the rear seats are gone. A glossy carbon-fiber pole stretches across the empty chasm. It could serve as a shoulder-harness mount but is probably there for liability, so gits don’t sit where there are no seatbelts.

Black, fine-spoke 20-inch wheels harboring huge carbon-ceramic discs add bigness to the complexion of the Supersports. A mere 157 feet separates 70 mph from zero—yet another astounding number—but a relentless, maddening squeak made the Bentley sound like a city bus around town.
Continentals have always been effective handlers despite their bulk. The Supersports corners as if its entire underbelly is just one giant tire. This Bentley won’t break loose, not for Queen nor country, and owners will be flossing Bimmers and Boxsters out of the grilles on a regular basis.
Just when you think Continentals have reached their limit, the boys turn up the secret power screw. What’s next, the Continental Hyper Crumpet? The imagination reels.

ENGINE

The Engine
The Bentley's twin-turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 48-valve W-12, aluminum block and heads, port fuel injection engine and it makes 621 Horsepower and 590 Pound Feat of Torque at 1700 rpm.

The engine is designed to run on something called Bio-Ethanol (fuel made from plants), and if you use that rather than Petrol, the power output remains the same BUT you get fewer Carbon-Dioxide coming out of the back. One thing wey spoil the car na say, let us Britain for example, there are 8,850 petrol stations in Britain and only 20 sells Bio-Ethanol, im not sure they sell that shit in Naija, and the car is not economical at all, lol (well if you fit afford Bentley, you should not complain).
